Player tags able to track without the App

On my play field we wanna Upgrade Our game but some of us dont wanna take there phone on field now i just wanna knowing can the tags User for tracking or need we take the phone on field

Player tags cannot be used for tracking on their own; they only work in combination with Ares Alpha props. To track players in the Ares Alpha App, they must carry their phones on the field—though the phones can be protected from BBs, and there are plenty of solutions available for that.
